A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide maternity leave coverage at an elementary school located in Andover, KS. This contract position will support a caseload of approximately 40 students, delivering 1470 minutes of direct service per week. The assignment begins in March 2026 and continues through May 22, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, assessment, and treatment services to elementary students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Document progress and maintain accurate, confidential student records
- Consult with educators and families to support students’ communication needs within the school environment
- Attend relevant meetings and professional development activities as required
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in school settings
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and evidence-based interventions
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a diverse elementary caseload independently
