Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ communication skills in an onsite, full-time contract opportunity close to Edwards, CA. This engaging position focuses on working directly with approximately 55 students, offering vital speech and language services within a school setting. With a stable schedule of 33 hours per week, you'll play an essential role in helping students reach their full academic and social potential.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Comfort with a caseload of 55 students across various grade levels
- Expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with other educators, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Dedication to fostering student success and positive outcomes
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students onsite
- Conduct thorough assessments and maintain up-to-date records
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support students’ goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and progress updates
- Offer consultation and promote awareness of speech and language disorders within the school community
