Make a difference this fall working alongside dedicated educators and therapists in a welcoming school environment near Edison, NJ. This exciting 12-week, full-time contract opportunity offers Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) the chance to support students during maternity leave coverage in two elementary schools and a third location to be determined. These positions specifically serve K-5 students, with an emphasis on high Autism and preschool populations, providing you with unique hands-on experience in an enriching setting.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Hold active New Jersey SLP License and valid NJ SLS Certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered (must secure outside supervision independently)
- Prior experience with Autism and preschool student populations, K-5
- Comfortable collaborating with multi-disciplinary school teams
- SLPAs are not eligible for these roles
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students with a range of communication needs
- Conduct evaluations, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and therapeutic sessions
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families
- Provide services onsite only, engaging with students and staff directly
