A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed in a school setting located in Edison, NJ. This contract position supports special education services for preschool students, providing both group and individual therapy to a caseload of 30 students with a variety of communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to preschool-aged students within a special education program
- Conduct group and individual therapy sessions tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop effective treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Be present on-site during scheduled hours
Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey license as an SLP Clinical Fellow (CF) or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in a school setting
- Knowledge of special education and speech-language therapy interventions for preschool students
- Ability to work on-site four days a week, 8:45 AM to 3:25 PM
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Position Details:
- Location: Edison, New Jersey
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, approximately 6.5 hours per day
- Start Date: ASAP, with an immediate opening due to urgent need
- Caseload: Approximately 30 preschool students receiving special education services
