Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual speech-language therapy sessions, totaling 7 sessions daily without group combinations
- Address a range of presenting disabilities, primarily Communication Impairments
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including session notes and progress reports
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student success in communication development
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Eligibility and credentials for school-based Speech-Language Pathology positions
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with communication impairments; experience with AAC devices is not required but an openness to learning is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple sessions within the school day
Work Schedule and Environment:
- One day per week commitment
- Hours from 8:40 AM to 2:10 PM with a 30-minute lunch break
- School-based setting in Newark, New Jersey
