Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Edison, New Jersey
This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized services within an educational setting. The position involves supporting a high school student utilizing both verbal and augmentative communication methods to enhance and maintain functional communication abilities. This role is suited for professionals with expertise in pediatric speech-language pathology, particularly in school environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to a 16-year-old student once per week.
 - Conduct 30-minute sessions focused on improving functional communication skills.
 - Utilize a combination of verbal and augmentative communication approaches tailored to the student’s needs.
 - Collaborate with school staff to integrate communication goals into the student’s educational program.
 - Monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly to support effective communication development.
 
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
 - Experience working with pediatric populations, specifically within schools or healthcare settings.
 - Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies.
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and school personnel.
 - Ability to work independently and adapt to the unique needs of the student.
