Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Jersey City, New Jersey
A full-time position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Credentialed as a Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) in an elementary school setting. This contract role begins in late November and offers a consistent schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:45 PM.
Ideal candidates will have experience working in school settings and possess skills relevant to pediatric speech and language therapy. Additional experience in teletherapy and healthcare settings, as well as credentials as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with school or healthcare experience, is a plus. The elementary caseload will provide the opportunity to work directly with young learners, enhancing communication skills critical to educational success.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience delivering speech-language services in schools, particularly with elementary students
- Ability to provide teletherapy services, contributing to flexible and adaptable client care
- Familiarity with pediatric speech and language therapy techniques
- Experience as an SLPA in school or healthcare settings is advantageous
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in elementary-aged students
- Collaborating with educators and other professionals to support students’ communication needs
- Maintaining detailed documentation in accordance with school policies
- Providing teletherapy sessions as needed to ensure continuous service delivery
