Pediatric Speech Pathology - Pasadena, MD
This travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a waterfront city in Maryland, known for its marinas and boating culture. Located just under two hours from Washington, DC, this itinerant role covers the full 2026-2027 school year, providing a dynamic work environment within a school setting.
Position Details:
- Contract role for the full school year (2026-2027)
- Itinerant services providing support across multiple school locations
- 37.5 hours per week
- Travel-based assignment, with potential weekend trips to Washington, DC (1 hour 45 minutes away)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations
- Develop accurate diagnoses and implement evidence-based treatment plans targeting speech and language disorders
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment strategies as needed, and educate patients and families on communication improvement techniques
- Maintain precise and compliant documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support holistic patient care
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid Maryland state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) with current CCC-SLP credentials
- Proven skills in assessment, diagnosis, and therapy techniques specific to pediatric speech and language needs
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, therapy technology, and electronic health record systems
