Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Dublin, Ohio
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support middle and high school students in a K-12 school setting in Dublin, Ohio. This contracted role runs from December 1, 2024, through May 29, 2025, providing critical support during the academic year with breaks for winter (December 20 – January 5) and spring (last week of March).
In this role, you will manage a caseload of approximately 35 students, focusing primarily on those with intellectual disabilities and language support needs. The caseload involves students who are deaf or hard of hearing, with no traditional speech therapy cases. Your core responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and delivering both direct and indirect services tailored to each student’s unique needs.
Key qualifications and skills include:
- Current Ohio SLP license and a Professional Pupil Service License (Emergency certification possible with Superintendent approval)
- Experience in pediatric and educational speech-language pathology, including working with intellectual disabilities and hearing impairments
- Ability or willingness to learn American Sign Language (ASL); preference for candidates proficient in ASL
- Capable of conducting thorough evaluations and supporting language development goals in school settings
