Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Benton Harbor, MI

This contract position for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) offers an opportunity to support students with diverse needs in a school setting located in Benton Harbor, MI. The role requires providing speech-language services to students ranging from ages 5 to 22, including those with severe autism, cognitive impairments, medical needs, and communication and social skill delays. Services are provided at two school locations, Blossomland Learning Center and Lighthouse Education Center.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to a caseload of 20-25 students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP certification/licensure, including SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or equivalent.
- Experience working in school settings with pediatric populations.
- Skills in providing therapy to students with autism and other developmental challenges.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work onsite at the specified school locations.
Schedule and Details:
- Contract position starting ASAP through June 2, 2026, with possible work during the summer for compensatory speech services.
- Part-time hours ranging from 15.5 to 23.25 hours per week, typically 2-3 days.
- Daily hours from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM.
