School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Detroit, Michigan

Key Experience & Skills:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Michigan
- Previous work in educational settings highly preferred
- Proficiency in evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs in alignment with school policy
- Strong collaboration abilities with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusion and supporting student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver SLP services onsite to students with diverse speech and language needs
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings, and interpret results for education planning
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans and document student progress
- Consult and collaborate with educators, staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Create engaging, evidence-based interventions to support students’ academic success
- Maintain timely and accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing to multidisciplinary team decisions
