Position Overview
This remote SLP role involves providing comprehensive speech and language services to students in a virtual learning environment. You'll work approximately 35-37.5 hours per week, managing a caseload of 45-55 students across elementary and middle school grades. Your focus will be on delivering individualized therapy sessions while collaborating with educational teams to support student communication goals.
Core Responsibilities
As a virtual speech-language pathologist, you'll conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders, develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals, and deliver engaging teletherapy sessions using interactive digital platforms. You'll monitor student progress through data collection and analysis, maintain detailed documentation of services and student outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings with parents and school teams. Collaboration with teachers and support staff to integrate communication strategies into classroom activities is essential, along with providing consultation to families regarding home practice activities.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold an active Michigan speech-language pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders is required, along with at least 2 years of experience providing services in school settings. Experience with virtual therapy delivery is highly valued. You'll need reliable internet connectivity and a professional home workspace equipped for teletherapy sessions.
Technical Requirements
Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and basic troubleshooting skills are necessary. Comfort using digital assessment tools, therapy materials, and documentation systems will support your success in this virtual role.
