Pediatric School-Based SLP | Warren, Michigan
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support an elementary school setting. This contract role offers a comprehensive caseload primarily serving elementary students, including work with two Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classrooms. The position is scheduled for 2 days per week, 7 hours each day, from 8:30 AM to 4:05 PM, and is set to begin as soon as possible through June 5th.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech-language services to a diverse elementary school caseload.
- Serving students in two ASD classrooms with tailored therapy approaches.
- Collaborating with educators and families to support student communication goals.
- Maintaining accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory standards.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification as an SLP with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Pediatric speech-language pathology experience, particularly in educational or healthcare settings.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent.
- Skills in working with children diagnosed with ASD and in school-based therapy delivery.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to foster multidisciplinary teamwork.
This role is located in Warren, MI, within an elementary school environment and follows a school calendar-year (CSY) schedule. The position is contract-based, with pay commensurate with candidate experience.
