A specialized role is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a Detroit, MI school setting. This position focuses on delivering quality speech and language therapy services to elementary students, fostering their communication skills in a structured academic environment. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology Licensure
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required
  • Experience in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children (K-5)
  • Strong caseload management, with a focus on individualized student goals

Location:

  • Detroit, Michigan
  • Serving elementary students in grades K-5

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 45-55 students requiring speech and language therapy
  • Provide assessments, individualized treatment plans, and intervention sessions aligned with students’ IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational standards
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
