Pediatric School Speech Pathology | Des Plaines, Illinois
A full-time, long-term substitute Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the school year, from December 29 to April 17. This role focuses on serving the speech and language needs of pediatric students in an educational setting. The position offers the opportunity to apply clinical skills in a school environment and make a meaningful impact on student communication development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments for students
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborating with educators and parents to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports
- Providing therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator’s License (PEL) for Illinois schools issued through ISBE
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in schools
- Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
