Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Arlington Heights, Illinois
Located in Arlington Heights, IL, this contract role offers a dynamic opportunity to provide Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services in an elementary school setting. The position runs from January 5th through April 6th, with a 35-hour workweek from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm. The role supports a caseload of approximately 35 students requiring speech and language services, delivering essential support to enhance communication skills during the school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing and treating speech and language disorders among elementary students
- Managing a caseload of about 35 students across one school
- Collaborating with educators and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Documenting student progress and maintaining compliance with district and state guidelines
- Conducting therapy sessions onsite within the school environment
Qualifications and required certifications:
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement
- Experience with pediatric speech and language services, preferably within school settings
- Ability to work full-time hours and manage a diverse caseload efficiently
- Strong communication and organizational skills
