Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist in Des Plaines, IL
A full-time bilingual Speech Language Pathologist is sought to support a K-12 school district, providing comprehensive speech therapy services across all grade levels. This role requires fluency in both Spanish and English to effectively serve a diverse student population. The position offers a contract through the next school year, starting immediately and concluding June 2, 2026.
Responsibilities include delivering direct and indirect speech-language services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The therapist will work within guaranteed hours and is not required to perform additional duties such as bus supervision or parent pickup. Travel therapists may be eligible for stipends, enhancing compensation for those commuting into the district.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) with a current CCC or CFY
- Demonstrated experience as an SLP in school settings
- Fluency in both Spanish and English, capable of delivering bilingual therapy services
- Ability to provide both direct and indirect therapy effectively
- Commitment to supporting students K-12 in a school district environment
