Job Description:
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time, school-based position in Chicago, IL. This role is essential in helping students with communication challenges achieve academic and social success. The SLP will provide direct therapy services, participate in IEP development, and collaborate with educators and families to support each student’s unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations
-
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
-
Deliver direct therapy and consultative services across a range of grade levels
-
Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
-
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
-
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
Minimum Requirements:
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
-
Active Illinois SLP license through IDFPR
-
Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or current Clinical Fellow (CFY) under supervision
-
Familiarity with school-based settings and IEP processes preferred
-
Ability to pass all required background checks and fingerprinting
