For the 2025–2026 school year, we are seeking one or two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists to provide maternity leave coverage in Derby, Kansas. Position Details
Location: Derby, KS (specific school shared during interview)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full Time
Contracted Hours: Approximately 35–37.5 hours per week
Setting: Onsite preferred; virtual candidates considered
Coverage Periods

First maternity leave: August 13, 2025 – October 28, 2025

Second maternity leave: October 6, 2025 – December 9, 2025
Candidates may apply for one or both coverage periods.
What You’ll Do Every Day

Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to students

Conduct evaluations and assist with IEP development and implementation

Collaborate with educators, families, and support teams

Address a variety of communication needs, including language, articulation, fluency, and social skills

Utilize evidence-based practices tailored to student goals

Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with district and state standards

Who We’re Looking For

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Active Kansas SLP License or eligibility to obtain

Previous school-based experience preferred but not required

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
