Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full-Time Opportunity – Derby, KS Area
Blazer Jobs is currently conducting interviews for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position with school districts in the Derby, KS area. We are seeking dedicated professionals passionate about supporting students’ communication and academic success.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for this position:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
-
Valid Kansas SLP license issued by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS)
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered
-
Must hold or be eligible for a Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Professional License or Certificate for school-based services
-
Completion of background check and fingerprint clearance as required by the school district
-
Previous experience in a school setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
-
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations
-
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for eligible students
-
Provide direct speech-language therapy services based on students’ needs and goals
-
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development
-
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
