Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Denver, CO
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a smaller, welcoming school district in the northern suburbs of Denver, Colorado. Serving approximately 7,000 students across 16 sites, this district values both new graduates and experienced professionals and offers a supportive environment with a commitment to student success.
Location: Adventure Elementary, Denver, CO
Grade Levels: Pre-K through 6th Grade
Caseload: Approximately 40 students, evenly split between mild-to-moderate and moderate-to-severe speech needs, including around 10 Pre-K learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and provide direct services based on individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed service notes and documentation
- Serve as case manager for students whose IEPs include only speech services
- Deliver monthly speech minutes tailored to student needs
- Coordinate effectively with school teams and families to support student progress
- For Clinical Fellows (CF), supervision is available through the district
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) credentials or active progress toward obtaining them (please specify status when applying)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but CFs are welcomed with provided supervision
- Experience or comfort working with a diverse caseload, including mild to severe speech and language disorders
- Strong organizational and communication skills, adaptable to both remote (Teams) and in-person interviews
Process:
Candidates undergo a two-step interview process: a 15-30 minute screening interview via Teams with the Integrated Services Director, followed by a 30-45 minute panel interview, ideally conducted in person but flexible if needed. Scheduling is primarily available on Mondays and Fridays.
