Travel Speech-Language Pathologist in Denver, CO
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in the northern suburbs of Denver, CO, serving a smaller district with 16 sites and approximately 7,000 students. This role involves working full-time (37.5 hours per week) at an elementary school with a caseload of about 40 students ranging from Pre-K to 6th grade. Approximately half of the caseload includes students with mild to moderate needs, while the other half includes students with moderate to severe needs. The position requires bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and provide direct therapy services.
- Manage service documentation including service notes and monthly speech minutes.
- Serve as case manager if speech is the sole area of support on the student's IEP.
- Provide support across mild to severe speech and language issues.
- Collaborate with district staff and participate in the two-step interview process, including a screening call and a panel interview.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology certification, preferably fully credentialed or in the process of obtaining Colorado Department of Education (CDE) credentials.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
- Candidates who are Clinical Fellows (CF) will receive district-provided supervision.
- Experience in school settings preferred; new graduates and tenured candidates are encouraged to apply.
- SLP Assistant candidates are not accepted.
Additional Information:
- The district conducts interviews mainly on Mondays and Fridays.
- Open to travel candidates but requires update on relocation status during submission.
- The district does not accept VOCO or hybrid work arrangements.
- The CDE certification status must be shared upon application submission.
