Travel School Speech Language Pathologist - Denver, Colorado
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in the Northern suburbs of Denver, CO, serving a smaller, supportive district known for its welcoming environment. This role is based at a Pre K–8th grade academy with a caseload of approximately 40 students presenting mild to moderate needs, including about 10 preschoolers. The position involves conducting evaluations, maintaining service notes, and delivering direct speech-language services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students from Pre K through 8th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to mild-to-moderate communication needs.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including service notes and progress reports.
- Provide direct speech therapy minutes in compliance with district protocols.
- For Credentialed Fellows (CFs), receive supervision in line with district guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold or be in the process of obtaining Colorado Department of Education (CDE) credentials; applicants must disclose their credential status or progress.
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Credentialed Fellow (CF).
- Experience or willingness to work with school-aged children across a broad grade range.
- Candidates must not be Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) or seek hybrid/VOCO roles, as these are not accepted by the district.
- Open to new graduates as well as experienced clinicians.
Location and Interview Process:
- Position located in Denver, Colorado, with travel considerations welcomed. Candidates relocating should update the district on their relocation status.
- The hiring process includes a two-step interview: an initial 15-30 minute screening via Teams with the director of integrated services, followed by a 30-45 minute panel interview, preferably in person but flexible if travel is difficult.
- Prescreen interviews are primarily scheduled on Mondays and Fridays.
