High School Licensed School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Denver, Colorado
Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential speech-language services in an engaging school setting. This full-time contract position runs through the end of the school year and focuses on supporting elementary and high school students with a range of mild to severe communication needs. You’ll work predominantly onsite in a collaborative educational environment near vibrant Denver, Colorado, with opportunities to work with both young learners and teens as they develop vital communication skills.
Ideal candidates are dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists with strong clinical skills and active CDE certification in hand. While onsite presence is strongly preferred to ensure direct interaction and support, virtual (Voco) options may be considered for exceptional candidates. Please note, Clinical Fellows are not eligible for this position.
What you bring:
- Current, active CDE certification for school-based SLP services
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Recent experience working with elementary and high school students
- Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload of mild to severe communication challenges
- Flexibility and openness to working onsite (with limited virtual opportunities under consideration)
- Willingness and enthusiasm for travel as needed
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with school staff and families
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy for students individually and in groups
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct assessments to identify communication disorders and recommend interventions
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Engage with teachers, families, and administrators to support student success
