Speech-Language Pathologist in Denver, CO
An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to support students from Pre-K through 8th grade in a welcoming school environment located in the northern suburbs of Denver, Colorado. This full-time, contract position involves working with a caseload of about 40 students, focusing on mild to moderate communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
- Provide direct therapy services and document service minutes.
- Complete detailed service notes and progress reports.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized student goals.
- For Clinical Fellows, district supervision is available to support professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold an SLP or SLP-Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Candidates currently pursuing Colorado Department of Education (CDE) credentials are encouraged to apply; please inform the hiring team of your progress.
- Experience working with mild to moderate student needs in educational settings is preferred.
- Note: The district does not accept Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), hybrid models, or vocational-only contracts.
Interview Process:
- The initial screening interview is a 15-30 minute virtual meeting with the Director of Integrated Services.
- The second step is a panel interview, preferably in person, lasting 30-45 minutes. Remote options are available if travel is not feasible.
- Interview scheduling is primarily on Mondays and Fridays.
Location:
- Primary work site: an engaging academy situated at 10310 York St., Thornton, CO 80229.
