Speech and Language Pathologist in Arvada, CO
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is needed in Arvada, CO, to provide comprehensive support within a K-12 educational setting. This contract position runs from December 1, 2025, through May 29, 2026, offering a full-time schedule of approximately 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities include delivering direct speech and language therapy services to a caseload of 35-40 students, primarily within grades K-8. The caseload is diverse, featuring approximately 20-25 students with mild to moderate needs and 10-15 students with moderate to severe needs. The role requires conducting evaluations, assessments, and referrals, as well as participating in IEP and 504 meetings to support individualized student plans. Collaboration with educational staff and families is key to ensuring effective communication and progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in school settings with K-8 student populations
- Ability to manage a caseload with a range of speech and language disorders
- Strong skills in conducting assessments, writing reports, and collaborating on IEPs and 504 plans
- Commitment to student-centered, evidence-based intervention strategies
