Speech Therapist in Denver, CO
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in Denver, CO. This contract role spans the current school year, providing essential speech and language services within an educational setting. Your expertise will directly contribute to the communication development and academic success of a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each student.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate speech therapy goals within the educational curriculum.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), specifically holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Prior experience working in school settings, preferably K-12.
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders typical in school-aged children.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
