Speech Pathology - Cambridge, MD
This position seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) skilled in providing comprehensive speech and language services within a K-12 school setting. The role is contract-based for the current school year and is located in Cambridge, MD. The ideal candidate holds Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) and has experience working in schools with students across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students’ needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on evaluation results
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies and state regulations
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings, serving K-12 populations
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and student-centered interventions
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
