Blazer Jobs is currently partnering with public school districts across Maryland to recruit licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the 2025–2026 school year. Position Overview
SLPs play a critical role in Maryland schools by supporting students who experience difficulties with speech, language, fluency, voice, or social communication. As an SLP, you will evaluate students, develop and implement intervention plans, and collaborate with school teams to ensure student success in both academic and social environments.
Current needs exist in districts throughout Baltimore, Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, Frederick, Annapolis, Columbia, Hagerstown, and other nearby regions.
Responsibilities:

Perform speech and language assessments in line with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and IDEA requirements
-
Develop and implement IEPs based on each student’s communication goals and educational needs
-
Deliver therapy in individual and small group settings, adjusting approaches based on student response and data
-
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with state and district standards
-
Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and parent consultations
-
May oversee the work of SLP Assistants under the guidelines of the Maryland Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers & Speech-Language Pathologists
Required Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

Current Maryland SLP license
-
Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) certification as a school-based service provider (or eligibility to obtain)

School or pediatric experience preferred
-
Must meet all background check and fingerprinting requirements as set by Maryland state law and district policy
