Pediatric School Speech Pathology | Del Valle, Texas
An exciting opportunity is available for a bilingual Spanish-speaking Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide services in an elementary school setting in Del Valle, TX. This contract position offers a full academic year assignment starting ASAP through May 27, 2026, serving an age group of elementary students with a caseload of approximately 75.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP license or Active Texas SLPA license is required
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish to effectively communicate with students and families
- Experience working in pediatric settings, particularly schools, is preferred
- Familiarity with speech and language evaluation and intervention tools
- Ability to work on-site in the school environment at least 3 days per week (days may vary)
- Must be able to manage a caseload and complete required testing with district-provided equipment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to elementary students according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Administer assessments, collect data, and document progress in compliance with district guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school personnel to support student communication development
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of required testing protocols and ensure compliance with all speech therapy service standards
- Provide a combination of on-site and virtual services as needed, based on weekly schedules and student needs
