Speech and Language Pathologist in Warren, MI
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a K-12 school located in Warren, MI. This full-semester contract role requires approximately 35 hours per week, distributed in 7-hour workdays. The schedule includes dedicated time for paperwork, planning, and indirect work to support effective caseload management.
Responsibilities include providing comprehensive speech and language services across all grade levels, with the largest caseload concentration typically in elementary schools. Flexibility regarding the age group served is valued, and efforts will be made to align assignments with individual preferences when possible. Caseload sizes generally range from 50 to 60 students for full-time SLPs.
Key qualifications and experience desired:
- Active Michigan licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (MI SLP license) is required
- Open to clinicians currently completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Preference for candidates experienced with educational and clinical software, including:
• PowerSchool (IEP system)
• MyStar (Student Information System)
• EdPlan (Medicaid billing system) - Ability and willingness to work onsite full-time
In this role, you will conduct speech-language assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborate with educational staff, and provide therapeutic interventions tailored to student needs.
