Speech Therapist Opportunity – Join Dearborn City Schools Full-Time
K–12 Caseload | Onsite Therapy | MI SLP License & DOE Certification Required
Dearborn City Schools is hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy and assessment services that help students build essential communication skills for academic and social success. This is a great chance to be part of a collaborative, student-focused team.
Position Overview:
As an SLP, you will assess student needs, create individualized treatment plans, and deliver interventions targeting a variety of speech and language areas.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct speech-language evaluations and prepare clear, compliant reports
-
Develop and implement therapy plans in alignment with IEP goals
-
Address articulation, fluency, receptive and expressive language, and pragmatic skills
-
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support progress
-
Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations and updates
-
Maintain documentation to meet district and state requirements
Required Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Active Michigan SLP License
-
Michigan Department of Education Certification for School-Based SLPs
-
ASHA CCC strongly preferred
-
Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred
-
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Schedule: Monday–Friday during school hours

Caseload: K–12 students (assignments determined by district needs)
