School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – De Soto, MO
Position Type: Full-Time, School-Based
Hours: 32.5 hours/week (3 days at Early Childhood Center, 2 days at Middle/High School & Annex Building)
Start Date: August 20, 2025
End Date: May 20, 2026 (subject to school calendar/weather)
Caseload: Approximately 52 students, Pre-K through High School
Location: De Soto, Missouri
Position Overview:
Join the school district in De Soto, MO as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing therapy services across multiple campuses. This role serves a diverse caseload of approximately 52 students, ranging from preschool through high school. The SLP will collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to implement therapy programs, track progress, and support student success.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct speech and language therapy to Pre-K, middle, and high school students

Conduct assessments, develop and update IEPs, and monitor student progress

Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district/state guidelines

Travel between Early Childhood Center and Middle/High School campuses
Qualifications:

Active Missouri SLP license

Previous school-based experience preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
