Speech Language Pathologist in Davis, CA
An immediate opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential support within a school-based setting, working with students from TK through 5th grade. This contract position offers a chance to make a significant impact across a diverse caseload, including speech services, RSP with speech, and SDC classrooms. You will be collaborating closely with another experienced SLP already at the site to ensure comprehensive care for all students.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid California SLP license or California credential required
- Previous experience in school settings is highly desirable
- Strong background working with SDC (Special Day Class) populations preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload across different classroom environments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students individually or in groups, according to IEP goals
- Assess, diagnose, and design intervention plans for speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and school staff to support student outcomes
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services, assessments, and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and recommendations
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for ongoing support
