Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Daphne, AL
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized support for elementary school students in the Mobile County School District, focusing on kindergarten through fifth grade. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the communication development of young learners in an elementary school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services tailored to the needs of K-5 students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for speech and language impairments
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district and state regulations
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and other professional development activities as required
Qualifications:
- Current Professional License or Educator Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (one required)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based speech and language intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and work within a school environment
Location and Duration:
- Positions available at elementary campuses in the Mobile County School District; primary location is Elle Grant Elementary, Prichard, AL
- Contract period from March 15, 2026, through May 29, 2026
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Additional positions with start dates ASAP through May 29, 2026, at TBD locations within the district
