Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing licensed and experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time positions within school districts in the Danbury, Connecticut area for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. We are looking for professionals who are passionate about supporting students’ communication and academic success in a collaborative, school-based setting.
Details:
- Location: Danbury, CT
- Full Time: 32 hours per week
- Caseload: Age group and caseload to be determined. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit.
Requirements – Applicants Must Meet All Local and State Criteria:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current Connecticut SLP license issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health
- Certification from the Connecticut State Department of Education (School Speech and Language Pathologist endorsement preferred)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred (Clinical Fellowship Year applicants may be considered)
- Successful completion of background checks and fingerprinting per state and district policy
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote speech and language therapy to students in K–12 settings
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations using teletherapy platforms
- Develop and manage IEPs in collaboration with school teams
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Regularly consult with educators, parents, and support staff
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs in a virtual environment
