Providing bilingual speech-language support in a dynamic K-12 educational setting, this contract role offers a unique opportunity to serve a diverse student population from January through May 2026. The position requires fluency in English and Spanish to effectively conduct evaluations and provide services across multiple campuses in an itinerant capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations as part of the district’s evaluation team.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations and therapy sessions.
- Utilize district resources including test kits, computer systems, communication tools, and participate in regular meetings.
- Balance on-site presence at assigned campuses with the option to work remotely one day per week.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with K-12 students.
- Strong evaluation and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Location & Schedule:
- Based in Dallas, with services provided at multiple campuses in the district.
- Itinerant role with an office at the Student Support Center.
- 37.5 hours per week, contract duration from January 5th to May 28th, 2026.
- Hybrid work model allowing remote work one day weekly.
