A K-12 public school in Plano, TX is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis.
The ideal candidate will hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology and have experience working within school-based settings to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role involves collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address each student’s unique communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and screenings for K-12 students
- Develop and deliver evidence-based therapy targeting speech, language, fluency, voice, and social communication disorders
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress and inclusion
- Maintain detailed documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional recommendations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience providing services in school settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with K-12 educational and therapeutic practices
