School Speech Therapist | Spring, Texas
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for maternity leave coverage at an elementary school in Spring, TX. This contract role runs from January 5, 2026, to April 17, 2026, and involves working onsite. The position requires a licensed SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) credentials who will supervise a bilingual SLP Assistant, conduct evaluations, and attend Specialized Instruction (SI) ARD meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to a caseload of approximately 100 elementary students
- Supervise a bilingual SLP Assistant on site three days per week
- Conduct student evaluations and assessments in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in SI-only Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; educator credential not necessary
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with support staff
- Strong organizational and communication skills
