This Speech Language Pathologist position offers an excellent opportunity to provide specialized services within K-3 and Junior High school settings. The role is a leave replacement contract from January through March, supporting students during an FMLA absence. Located in Rockford, IL, this onsite position involves approximately 34 hours per week working in a dynamic K-12 educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services tailored to students in early childhood and junior high levels.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Conduct assessments, document progress, and communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support students with diverse speech-language needs in a school setting.

Qualifications:

  • Illinois Speech Language Pathologist License required.
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) preferred.
  • ASHA Certification or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) accepted.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations and in educational or healthcare contexts is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage caseloads within school environments.
