School Speech and Language Pathologist | Creswell, Oregon
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Eugene, OR, providing leave coverage until June 12, 2026. This contractual role is based on-site within a Special Education Service Area that supports students with moderate to severe disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and at-risk youth. Services also include behavior consultation, augmentative communication, and school psychologist support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students per IEP requirements.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and special education teams to support student progress.
- Utilize augmentative communication systems, both low and high tech, to assist students.
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality in compliance with policies.
- Engage in ongoing communication with students, parents, and staff to foster effective treatment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communication Disorder endorsement and/or Oregon Speech-Language Pathology license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-Speech) is preferred.
- Experience working with students with moderate and severe disabilities is preferred.
- Proficiency with augmentative communication devices is a plus.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively.
- First Aid/CPR certification may be required.
