Pediatric Speech Pathology - Warwick, RI
A full-time, temporary opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) specializing in maternity leave coverage within a school-based setting in Rhode Island. This assignment offers the chance to provide essential speech therapy services to preschool and kindergarten students over a 12-16 week period with a manageable 30-hour workweek.

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 2:20 PM, Monday through Friday
Work Setting: School-Based, Itinerant between two sites
Caseload:
- Site 1 (Mon/Wed/Fri): 32 Preschool (PK) students, 4 Kindergarten (KF) students
- Site 2 (Tue/Thu): 24 Preschool (PK) students across 10 classrooms
All services are delivered via a push-in model, promoting collaboration within the classroom environment. Paid travel time between the two assigned sites is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy aligned with individual education plans (IEPs) for preschool and kindergarten students
- Implement evidence-based interventions in an inclusive push-in model
- Monitor and document student progress regularly
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals
- Maintain compliance with Rhode Island Department of Education standards and protocols
Qualifications:
- Rhode Island SLP-CCC credential required
- Eligibility to meet Rhode Island Department of Education (DOE) requirements
- Fingerprinting clearance prior to start is mandatory
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings preferred
- Strong skills in teletherapy and push-in service delivery models advantageous
