An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support special education programs within an elementary school setting. This contract position offers flexibility with full-time or part-time hours and is based onsite in either Emporia or Council Grove, Kansas. The assignment is set to begin promptly and will continue through May 20, 2026.
Location:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students in grades K-6
- Manage a caseload of approximately 10-12 students per day, with up to 50-55 students served over a five-day period
- Conduct speech and language assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress in compliance with applicable guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to enhance communication outcomes for students
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid Kansas Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license required
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings with elementary-aged children
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite and flexibility regarding scheduling
