This role offers an opportunity for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support elementary students within a special education cooperative in Emporia, Kansas. The position is a contract for the current school year with a duration through May 2026. Candidates will provide direct speech and language services to students across two locations, primarily onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language pathology services to elementary school students in special education settings
- Manage caseloads serving between 10-12 students on some days and 50-55 students on full days
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to design and implement effective interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Adhere to state and federal guidelines for special education services
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Kansas Speech-Language Pathology License required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience providing SLP services in school settings highly desirable
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills in pediatric speech and language disorders
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Location Details:
- Onsite position based primarily in Emporia, KS, with some work potentially in Council Grove, KS
