Speech Pathology - Osage City, KS
An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized support within an elementary school setting. This contract position spans the comprehensive school year, offering a chance to make a significant impact on students' communication and learning development.
Location:
- Positions open across multiple school districts, including North Lyon, Southern Lyon, Emporia, Chase County, Madison-Virgil, Hamilton, and Morris County in Kansas.
- Placement will be assigned based on candidate residence and school district needs.
- All roles require onsite attendance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focusing on speech and language therapy.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working in school settings with an elementary-aged population.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to improving students' communication skills and educational experiences.
Employment Details:
- Contract duration: Current school year through May 20, 2026.
- Full-time and part-time candidates are welcomed.
- Onsite positions only.
