Travel Speech Therapist in Costa Mesa, CA
A unique opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support an elementary school program serving students with moderate to profound needs. This on-site role is based in Anaheim, CA, within a large, collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional services in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device usage and programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized speech-language pathology services to elementary students using AAC devices.
- Collaborate closely with a team of 3 SLPs and 2 SLPAs in the CONNECTIONS program.
- Manage a caseload focusing on students with moderate to profound communication needs.
- Demonstrate expertise in the programming and customization of a wide variety of AAC devices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development and student progress evaluations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and California education credentials.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Proven experience and proficiency with AAC devices, including programming and implementation.
- Prior experience working with students with moderate to profound disabilities in school settings is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is located in Anaheim, CA.
- Full-time, 35 hours per week.
- Position available immediately through June 5, 2026.
- On-site presence is required to provide direct student support and collaboration.
