A specialized speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available to support a dynamic elementary program serving students with moderate to profound disabilities. This role is located onsite in Anaheim, CA, and involves travel to the site in Orange County. The position is a backfill opportunity within a large team of speech professionals dedicated to providing communicative support primarily through augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering evidence-based speech therapy services to elementary students requiring AAC support.
  • Proficient use and programming of a variety of AAC devices tailored to individual student needs.
  • Collaborating closely with a team of SLPs and speech-language pathology assistants (SLPAs) within the CONNECTIONS program.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary planning to optimize student communication and learning outcomes.

Qualifications and experience sought:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license and California education credentials.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in AAC device use and programming.
  • Experience working within school settings, particularly with students requiring specialized communication interventions.
  • Ability to work effectively onsite in a team-oriented environment.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ communication skills within a well-established, supportive program. The schedule requires 35 hours per week, running from now through June 5, 2026.
