Travel Speech Pathology - Costa Mesa, CA
An elementary school in Anaheim, CA, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their CONNECTIONS program, serving students with moderate to profound needs. This role focuses exclusively on supporting students who utilize AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices, requiring strong proficiency in managing and programming a variety of these tools.
Position Details:
- Location: Elementary school in Anaheim, CA (on-site)
- Program: CONNECTIONS program for mod to profound students
- Caseload: Elementary school students supported by a team of 3 SLPs and 2 SLPAs
- Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Duration: Immediate start through June 5, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to students with complex communication needs
- Utilize expertise with AAC devices, including programming and customizing devices to fit individual student needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective communication interventions
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports aligned with educational goals
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California SLP license and CA education credential required
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience and strong skills with AAC devices and programming
- Familiarity with school-based therapy and working within a team setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
