Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Costa Mesa, CA
A specialized opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support an established Connections program at an elementary school setting. This role focuses on delivering tailored services to moderate to profound students utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
Location:
- Elementary school in Costa Mesa, CA (within Orange County)
Role Details:
- Contract position through the current school year, ending June 5, 2026
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- On-site work required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to elementary students with moderate to profound communication needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of SLPs and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Demonstrate expertise in programming and utilizing AAC devices to enhance student communication
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student needs within the program
Qualifications:
- Must hold valid Speech-Language Pathology licensure in California
- Hold Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience in school-based speech-language services, preferably with elementary students
- Proven proficiency with AAC devices, including programming and customizing settings
