School Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Oregon
An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated SLP in a K-12 school setting. This contract position is tailored for individuals with specialized skills in providing speech-language pathology services to students, ensuring their communication needs are effectively met.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist License
- CCC-SLP certification preferred (CFs encouraged to apply)
- Experience working with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of various speech and language disorders
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
Location:
Cornelius, OR
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose students' speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement appropriate therapy plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support student needs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation in compliance with school policies
- Conduct assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of therapy
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding student progress
- Offer guidance and support to staff and families regarding communication disorders
